“Every day we have plenty of opportunities to get angry, stressed or offended. But what you're doing when you indulge these negative emotions is giving something outside yourself power over your happiness. You can choose to not let little things upset you”.
-Joel Osteen
Whether it’s in the locker room, on the field, in the boardroom, or at home, people straight up do not listen. They are so focused on their own thoughts that they either keep talking or feel it is necessary to post every thought and location they visit on their Facebook page. Only a fool keeps talking because it’s literally impossible to learn anything without receiving any information.
I recall many a time when a game was lost because an athlete on either my team or the opposing team was not paying attention to the coach or other players. A breakdown in communication occurs and the play is defunct.
How many times have you watched a football game and see a receiver wide open because the defense had a breakdown in communication and had too many players covering the wrong receiver? It happens every Saturday in college football and every Sunday in the NFL.
Even in the classroom; it happens daily when a student see’s a test question or even worse, the entire exam happens, and they say they do not remember the professor covering it. 99.9% of the time, the professor covered it but the student was not paying attention.
